To You and Family Members

May you know as I placed your Son or Daughter
Husband or Wife here on Never Forget
I always come to the front page
I always play the true Taps in their memory

For I and many others do not want
Or ever will forget what they your
"Loved Ones"
have given for God and Country.
It also reminds us of the Families

God Bless the Men and Women
Who selflessly watch over us and
others in far away places

Life is Hell on Earth

No matter what we do
Or how advanced we become
It seems that war will always plague us
Sacrificing many in the name of Freedom

Today as I added another name
I was notified another 7 will soon
be sent for me to again add to the Wall

It does not end for you or for others
whose children will go
who will dedicate their lives
To defending this and other countries.

God help us all I am so tired of losing
our young Men and Women
Will it ever end?????
Not in my lifetime and not in yours.

Dedicated To You

Each of you who has lived with Honor, Dignity
above and beyond what a normal citizen lives.
Never asking why, but following orders given.
Leaving your life on hold , until your orders
are return home.

Yes you got those orders.
But not from here, but from God.
Many have grieved the loss of so many of you.
Yet there are far more who know not who you
were or why you were a person in Uniform.
A soul that believed in protecting and serving.
Writing that blank check
That was cashed in, and you Honored.

Each of you I owe a debt
I cannot repay it
I can only say
I will do my best to never make you ashamed of my
actions or deeds.

Our June & July

A head Count
How many lost
How many already forgotten
How many Families already feeling alone

Our June and July
Has taken more than a Soldier a Day
How many wounded
I cannot say
How many will struggle
Yet no one will visit
No one will offer a hand to help

As we watch our Country be torn apart
And struggle to keep her Free
How many Soldiers will be forgotten
Left to struggle alone
How many Families will carry a burden
That no one should shoulder alone

The Old Veterans know how it goes
Their Wives know how it works
For a day or maybe a month
Some will stand by
But then they fade away

Thankful to the Veterans & their Family's
They understand
But what about the rest of America
Where are they
What are they doing to help

A Fallen Soldier should never be forgotten
A Injured Soldier should have every chance
to recover and return to a life of their choosing
And every Soldier near and far should have the
American's Support

NO MEDIA

Nope no word of warning
No pictures on the news
Just DOD telling me
You both have served your time
And after all is said and done
The flags will be lowered to Half Mast
For Both of You

Yet mine is already there
Honoring you Anthony and Joshua
And the others
David
Andrew
Eddie
Claudio
and
Kevin

Will there be a day
When my flag can fly high again

In my heart, always and forever

So Very Tired

Tired of losing my beloved Veterans
From WWII, Korea, and Vietnam
Tired of losing my Loved Soldiers
In Iraq and Afghanistan

Tired of a Media who does not know your names
Tired of lunatics who protest the last farewell
of your human remains.

Yet here I sit adding six more names
No one will read them
Am I totally insane
I cannot quit
I would wither up and fade away
If I neglected even one Soldier

Oh God am I tired
But in no way can I be one
who ignores your Sacrifice's

Never To Be Forgotten
The Price Paid
For my Freedom

Have They Forgotten

Another day
Another name
No one's here
It's just the same.

Me and the Family's
As the list grows
The names flow
Through my mind and heart

A day of remembering
Those who wear the uniforms
A week of remembering
Those who protect and serve.

At times like this inside I cry
It takes a calender
To remind
To tell them remember

How the hell did so many become blind
To everyday events
Everyday hero's in Harms Way
The Common Man
Being the Common Soldier
Writing a check
The price, Your Life
The reason
Our Freedom

I read the guest book
The names are few
Of people who care enough
To leave messages and love
Words that help families know
Someone really cared
Someone wrote
Simple words
Saying I am sorry
I care
I pray for your Family
I thank God for you
Because of you I am free
But then remember your are

The soldier who will never walk
through the door at home
The vacant chair at the table
The mom or dad who will never
see your child grow, graduate
and achieve the dreams you had for them.
Or the mom and dad who will never see
their child return and marry and raise
a family.

May those who depend on a calendar
Wake up
To the true cost of their Freedom
They sleep here at home
While your Comrades are in Harm's Way
While the freedoms that you protected
Are being silently stolen
By the corrupt and greedy
Who show no respect to you or your
Brothers of Arms

Names, Names, & More Names

Placing names upon this page
Has become a self driven goal
Of Remembering and Honoring
Those whom I can never repay

It has become a place for me to remember
Freedom is Not Free
And the toll
Is of all nationalities fighting in Uniforms of this Country and Other Countries
Trying to Secure the Freedoms for Many
besides me.

So I will continue on building the list
Adding the names that will
NEVER END
Until I fade from sight and can no longer
place more names to the list of
THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR ALL
caspersfree wrote on Mar 24
My Days Grow Shorter
And soon we all shall meet
I look forward to that day when I can say
Thank You
For protecting one as
unworthy as I am.
For granting me a freedom that I never took
for granted.
Until then may God grant me the wisdom
To understand the reasons why
It was you instead of I.

To The Families

It has been another day of remembering
A day of prayer for all of you.
Hopefully you know with this letter
the sacrifices shall never be forgotten.
Those of your Family
Or those you have made
and will live with always.

Know you are in our thoughts and Prayers
And will always be indebted because
of the Sacrifice of a loved one all in the
name of Freedom.

May God be your Strength as you carry on.

19-29, yesterday & today

such young years
yesterday and today
placed the names of
twelve brave men
here they be remembered
by me until my end
the visits few
mostly family
looking to see if I remembered
their son, husband, the father
or friend.

to those who write me a give me
thanks for remembering
it is I who owes the debt to you
your sacrifice for this country
the loss of your child, husband,
a debt I cannot repay
So I seek in prayer comfort for
all whose lives are changed forever
by the loss in war of a loved one.

Never will I forget them or you and your family

Today as I listed another Three Fallen Heroes
My thoughts return to the story 1/2 boy 1/2 man

Yet as I listed the names they were all boys
who quickly became men
Such a loss should never be forgotten
The loss to the Families should not be forgotten

May we never forget all those Brave men and Women

Today Another Day

Not one, or two
Four names
Four young men
Nineteen to twenty nine

So much lost
So many lives affected
Yet who knows besides
The Family
The Military Brothers in Arms
The Friends

So many saying good bye
Yet how many will remember in a month or two
Today I said goodbye to a
WWII Veteran
and
Korean Veteran
I wonder
did they greet these 4 brave men
or cross over with them
All Brothers in Arms
together again with Family,
with their Comrades again.

I can only pray this is the great reunion
in that Promised Land
No more pain or suffering.
No more struggles or trials
Only everlasting Peace.

I pray none of these brave souls listed here
and those who passed before are
Never Forgotten
Their Efforts Never Forgotten

The Call of Freedom
The Call from their Country
The loss of their Lives
Let it not be in Vain
Please

Standing Tall

Are you standing tall
Or are you hiding in shame

Three more Soldiers I placed here today
I wonder did you know
Did you ever pray
God please keep them safe
As they live their lives in Harms Way

I wonder who really cares
Whats wrong or right
I really don't give a damned

Mom's and Dad's without their child
Wife or Husband without a spouse
Son's and Daughters without a Dad
And the list could go on

If you were not a Family member
A Friend or Comrade
Will you ever think of them
Will you remember
A Soldier has kept you Free
Your Family Free
Will you thank God for the bravery
Of his Special Men and Women
Gifted to you to keep you Free
Who have sacrificed for you,
with life or limb or forever scarred hearts
and minds

Will you Remember??
Will you teach your children to Remember ??
Let not their sacrifices of the past and present
be in vain.

Forever to Remember
Lori

Head Count

Some may or may not know
What it is I’m talking about
Every night my friends
No matter how many times I do it
It seems to always come out still the same
As hard as I may try
Its still missing those same names

Now for those who don’t know
Just what it is I’m talking about
Every time we got into any firefights
Just as soon they were all done
We knew things were scarred
We started tending to the wounded
We would do what was called

Head Count

Just to see who we had lost
Making sure that all was accounted for
Knowing no one was gone
That we needed to be looking for
We all came in together
We all go back together
That was just how things were
All heads accounted for
Only now I do them in my nights
Remembering their faces once more
Yes Sir all accounted for

Names, Numbers, and Prayers

How to place a name with Honor & Respect
Hopefully as their names were placed here
God heard the prayers for their Families,
and Friends
And their Military Friends
Oh Lord 15 names,
Oh Lord 15 plus families suffering
Oh Lord grant them strength, courage,
and your comforting care.
Please grant us that are here at home
the ability to live our lives so
That it Honors all those who have
Given Their All
For this Country.

God Bless this Country
Please as we go forth.

10 Names Today

invisible to many
just numbers on the TV

The Families
The Friends
The Military Brothers & Sisters of Forever
Yes they remember
They shed the tears

And yet they stand tall
they Salute the Flag
they do their best to Honor God
and this Country
even with their heavy hearts

Now I wonder are all of you looking down
on me
Wondering why we all died for freedom
While here at home we seem to be letting it slip away.

Yes 9 in Afghanistan
and 1 in Iraq
And today after 8 years
I heard Glenn Beck say 800 lost
I wanted to shake him till his teeth rattled.

But God forgives those who forget
But can I
The numbers grow but to you
my Heroes I say I am sorry for him
and the others.

As I stand and fight here at home
And your Brothers and Sisters Forever
fight for Freedom elsewhere.
Know your names are
LOVINGLY
placed here so those who
visit will
NEVER FORGET
THE PRICE PAID BY ALL OF YOU

SO ONE FINAL SALUTE
A FOND FAREWELL UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

5,000 + tears

No more war in your life.
or memories to recall
Of all your fellow soldiers

No more Pain or Death
of those at your side.
Memories you would
have struggled to hide.

Yes home you are.
Again they are at your side.

Know you are not forgotten
As I place your name here
this day.
Your family and comrades

for you the father

To shed a tear for a child lost
Yes a fathers tears are different.

He caresses his wife lovingly
and feels
the movement that their love created.

But when the baby arrives and it wraps its tiny fingers around his finger his heart stops.
Oh yes the joy, the fear, and the love its all there.

Be it daddys little girl,
or daddy's little boy it is
to be a life long commitment.
To see a son follow in his footsteps
to maybe a better life
than daddy had as a child.

Or a daughter to worry over and
protect and to see
she has a bright future,
and a perfect partner for life.
Yes daddys love is special,
and he cherishes his moments
which come and go so fast.

Yes the struggles to care for,
support,
and teach them right from wrong.

He questions what he is doing,
is it enough?
Yes daddys tears,
the tears of a father lost.

A dream of the future
Shattered
Crushed
No more to be.

Cry Your Tears

You are a young mother.
You are a loving wife.
And yes you've lost your man, your love,
your joy in life.

You feel you are down and left alone.
I write this to you my child as a mother
who has lost 3 sons.
I say this as a mother who has a son
who fears loud noises, and dies a little
everytime he hears we and you have
lost a loved one.
Cry your tears, my child, for I
believe in my heart God will help
you thru.
I believe when all is said and done
God will give you the strength and
courage to carry on for your child.

And I know he is with God
and watching over you all.
I will pray for you.
And keep you in my heart.

With Love to a Young Mother
from a Old Mother

Hero
&
Heart of a True Veteran

Your child such joy.
Be it girl or be it boy.
First word spoken,never forgot.
First step taken, growing so quick.
All thru school growing leaps and bounds.
You watch with amasement, and pride as they
go forward into the world.
Then comes the day when they sign up and say,
I'm in the military, to protect the U.S.A.
Yes pride you feel, and a little fear too.
Your child now protects the
Red, White, and Blue.
Yes, your child fights for our Freedom.
With Courage and Strength,
Honor and Pride.

As you stood with pride saluting our flag.
Or singing the song God Bless America.
You prayed God please keep my child safe.
But then came the day.
Your childs ultimate sacrifice in the name of
Freedom and the Red ,White and Blue.

Your child, your loved one, brave and true.
The ultimate sacrifice your child made for
me and you.
Your child is now with God, living in true
Peace.
Carry on you will.
Never to forget.
Your child.
A Hero.

We will never forget your child.
But we will never forget what you have given.
You have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Your child.
In the name of Freedom, Peace and the
Red, White, and Blue

Respectfully
Loretta Riddell

I will never forget the sacrifice of all the fallen soldiers
of the many wars, of yesterdays to now.
But I will never forget the pain and sorrow of the families
who have lost a child so that we could say we are Free.
These families are true Veterans and know
Freedom has a price.
Our loved ones.

Good Morning and God Bless everyone. Hello Lori, so peaceful and beautiful music here in this group. Thank-you and God Bless you too.

The Price of Freedom

"Those who would give up
an essential liberty
for temporary security,
deserve neither liberty
nor security."
~ Benjamin Franklin ~

Our forefathers knew perilous times
of spilt blood on the sod,
They battled to preserve the creed:
one nation under God.

Since then the bold and brave have fought
on land and sky and sea,
courageous, valiant heroes died
to keep this country free.

For freedom is a priceless thing,
a gift beyond compare ~
A privilege immeasurable,
maintained by fervent prayer.

Americans, take heed
to what our forefathers held fast:
Unless our faith be firm in God
this nation shall not last.
